The TNI Commander Ensures Sea Security For The Smooth Running Of The ASEAN Summit

LABUAN BAJO - TNI Commander Admiral Yudo Margono ensured sea security for the smooth running of the 42nd ASEAN/ASEANSummit High Level Conference (KTT) for the first day in Labuan Bajo, West Manggarai, East Nusa Tenggara.

"From the safety side of ships passing by and securing the sea, we will maintain strict security. I convey that to the soldiers who carry out security here," Admiral Yudo told reporters at Marina Labuan Bajo Pier as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, May 10.

The first security carried out was the security of the Aiana Lako Di'a pinion which the ASEAN head of state would use to sail to see Sunset at 17.00 WITA.

The TNI Commander said checks were carried out starting from the bottom of the ship, the hull, to the top of the ship.

"This is a series of events that have been prepared so I check the readiness of the ship," said Yudo.

Furthermore, the TNI Commander ordered TNI soldiers to maintain sea security around the Meruorah Labuan Bajo Hotel, which is the meeting place for ASEAN heads of state on this first day.

In addition to these two things, Yudo ordered soldiers to monitor every movement of heads of state and delegates from hotels where they stay to Meruorah.

Security will also continue until thewelcoming dinner series tonight at the Labuan Bajo Hotel.

"We check everything's readiness. We monitor it from our officers in the field and command center," he said firmly.

On that occasion the TNI Commander discussed with the soldiers who were securing the sea.

Yudo gave orders to maintain marine security, as well as support them to remain enthusiastic in carrying out the country's duties.
