Airlangga Says There Is No Specific Discussion Of Coalition, Jokowi Talks About The Challenges Of The Future Economy
JAKARTA - Golkar Party chairman Airlangga Hartarto said President Jokowi was not specific about politics, including the big coalition. Jokowi actually talked about the economy.
"The achievements of development and challenges going forward. Earlier we did not discuss the specific (political), but the economic challenges ahead, which are also often conveyed by the president, regarding the challenge of our middle income, have an understanding of 6 parties that meet," said Airlangga at the Palace complex, quoted from Kompas TV's live broadcast, Tuesday, May 2.
This was conveyed by Airlangga after Jokowi's meeting with the chairman of the coalition political parties except for NasDem. The meeting was attended by PDIP chairman Megawati Soekarnoputri, Golkar chairman Airlangga Hartarto, Gerindra chairman Prabowo Subianto, PAN chairman Zulkifli Hasan, PKB chairman Muhaimin Iskandar and Plt Ketum PPP Mardiono.
"We discussed earlier, what I said, we discussed the stunting problem," said Airlangga.
Regarding the absence of the NasDem chairman, Airlangga admitted that he did not receive an explanation.
"We have not received an explanation," he said briefly.
Gerindra chairman Prabowo Subianto in a separate interview said President Jokowi left a message so that the political party leaders remain united and harmonious for the sake of the country's progress.
"(Political talk) practically not, but our big trust must be harmonious, united in working for the sake of the country," Prabowo said after a meeting with Jokowi at the Palace.
