JAKARTA - The Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Kemendikbudristek) is committed to eradicating illegal fees (pungli) in educational settings, both at this institution itself and at universities and higher education service institutions.
Acting Director General of Higher Education, Research and Technology of the Ministry of Education and Culture Nizam said the effort was in line with the Dikti SIGAP Serving motto, which means the Directorate General of Higher Education serves the community with passion, integrity, mutual cooperation, trustworthiness, and professionalism.
"The Directorate General of Diktiristek Kemendikbudristek continues to improve to realize the development of the Integrity Zone. Various bureaucratic reform programs have been implemented as concrete steps to implement the Integrity Zone," he said as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, March 8.
Meanwhile, Acting Secretary of the Directorate General of Higher Education Tjitjik Sri Tjahjandarie ensured that his party also emphasized the zone of integrity in the implementation of various programs in the educational environment.
Tjitjik said that the commitment to create an integrity zone in the implementation of bureaucratic reform programs is not just jargon but requires real implementation in its realization.
He explained that the realization of integrity zones can be carried out through a joint commitment to make changes to patterns of policy arrangements that are more effective and efficient.

Secretary of the Directorate General of Higher Education Bureaucratic Reform Team Suwitno also encouraged each work unit in the Directorate General of Higher Education to play an active role in efforts to prevent extortion or illegal payments.
Not only that, Suwitno emphasized that his party would also follow up on any reports regarding illegal levies so that the Ministry of Education and Culture could become a pioneer in anti-illegal levies.
"The ministry will continue to socialize this activity widely so that it will become our starting point which will occur in all of our work units," he said.
