COVID-19 Update As Of February 16: 219 New Cases, 207 More Recoveries
JAKARTA - The COVID-19 Handling Task Force released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 today. A total of 22,092 specimens were examined with the results of 219 new positive cases of COVID-19.
"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 6,733,697 people and active cases have decreased by 10 to 4,136 cases", it was quoted as saying from data from the COVID-19 Task Force, Thursday, February 16.
Today's recovered cases increased by 207 people, bringing a total of 6,568,681 recovered people. Then, positive confirmed cases who died increased by 2 cases and a total of 160,880 people.
The province with the newest cases is DKI Jakarta with 109 cases and a total of 1,541,009 cases. Followed by West Java with 49 new cases with a total of 1,235,777 cases. Banten 22 new cases and a total of 366,233 cases. East Java has 16 new cases and a total of 637,883 cases.
The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an additional 113 recovered cases. Followed by East Java with an additional 21 recovered cases, West Java with an additional 18 recovered cases, and Banten with an additional 17 recovered cases.
In addition, the number of specimens examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigen reached 115,167,068.
"The positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week is 1.23 per cent", it wrote.
The number of people suspected of having contracted COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases is recorded at 1,109 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had COVID-19 cases.
Until now, 203,842,702 people had received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 174,853,619 people had received the second dose of vaccination.
