DPR Expects PLN's Increased Profit To Provide Stimulus For Electricity Procurement In The Regions
JAKARTA - The House of Representatives (DPR) appreciates the increase in profits of PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN). Even so, the DPR observes that there are still areas that do not yet have electricity.
This was stated by a member of Commission VI DPR RI Nasim Khan during a Public Hearing Meeting (RDPU) with PT PLN, at the Nusantara I Building, DPR RI, Senayan, Jakarta, Wednesday (15/2/2023).
He hopes that PLN's performance can be maximized in the future and not be complacent with performance achievements in 2022.
"As the only manager of electricity owned by Indonesia, PT PLN still has a lot of homework to be done," he said.
The performance of PT PLN is considered much better compared to previous years, both from an operational, financial, and customer service perspective.
"Don't be lulled by so much profit, but there is still a big responsibility. What is certain is that in the future the management, system, and synergy of course we hope for better PLN. Also, community service because PLN is the only electrical energy that our country has," Nasim said.
For this reason, PT PLN was asked to really maximize its role, especially to provide electricity infrastructure in areas that have not been touched to this day.
"So that service to the community can really be maximized for the welfare of (especially) infrastructure, which to this day still has not been touched by the community, can be maximized," added the PKB politician.
