Gresini Racing 'More Indonesian' In MotoGP 2023
JAKARTA - The Gresini Racing team will feel the nuances of Indonesia in MotoGP 2023. This is because their new motorbike has a color scheme that increasingly represents Indonesia.
In addition, a number of Indonesian brands have returned to the motorbike parts and racing suits that will be worn by Alex Marquez and Fabio Di Giannantonio.
Commercial and Marketing Director of Gresini Racing Carlo Merlini said that his party had again received support from various brands from Indonesia, one of which was Antangin.
This collaboration also confirms the evidence that the fanbase in Indonesia exceeds the number of fans in the team's home country.
"It is one of my tasks to seek sponsorship and support from various countries outside of Italy. I then understand that Indonesia is a big country," Merlini said in a written statement released by Antara, Wednesday, February 8.
"I've met amazing people and then been able to work together through partnerships to provide support to this team," he continued.
The many brands from Indonesia on their motorbikes and racer clothes make Gresini feel like a team from Indonesia.
"We feel as a team that represents a country with the support of millions of people which makes us feel proud," he added.
Alex Marquez, who has just joined Gresini Racing in the 2023 season, also admits that he can't wait to start the MotoGP season with various preparations that have been made.
“I also feel happy and proud to be able to represent various brands from Indonesia to the world. Of course, my main target is to do my best and it's very important to be able to work with the team," said the younger brother of Marc Marquez.
