Pretending To Be Street Musician, Two Motorbike Thieves Bring Guitars To Trick Residents
CILACAP – Two men with the initials T (44) and H (52) had another way to carry out their crime, namely motorbike theft. T and H disguised themselves as street musicians so they could trick the people around them. Even though they intend to steal a motorbike.
Cilacap Police Chief Kombes Fannky Ani Sugiharto through the Criminal Investigation Unit AKP Gorbacov said the two perpetrators each committed theft at a different location.
"Within two days, 2 street musicians committed theft of motorized vehicles in two different locations," said Fannky in a written statement, Thursday, January 26.
According to records, the first action they carried out occurred on January 3 in Sampang Cilacap District, and the second on January 4 in Adipala Cilacap District.
"The two actors in their act pretended to be street musicians with a guitar, then they walked to an area where there were rice fields and looked for motorbikes parked on the edge of the fields. The perpetrators approached the motorbike and using a letter T key they damaged the lock housing, after the bike was started they took it away", Fannky explained.

After the victim reported, the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Adipala Police managed to arrest the two perpetrators.
"January 6, we succeeded in arresting T, and from the results of the investigation the two perpetrators T and H admitted to having stolen a motorcycle in Sampang and Adipala Districts," he explained.
For their actions, the two perpetrators were charged under Article 363 of the Criminal Code which carries a maximum prison sentence of seven years.
