Netflix Subscribers Can Now Join Nike Training Club Free For 30 Hours
JAKARTA - Netflix took a page from the Peloton playbook. Starting December 30, users will be able to stream classes from Nike Training Club on the platform. In total, Netflix subscribers will have access to 30 hours of content in multiple languages and exercises.
For the uninitiated, Nike Training Club is a popular fitness app where users can join strength training, yoga, and high-intensity interval training led by Nike trainers.
This program is geared towards increasing your strength, endurance and mobility at all fitness levels. While some classes require equipment, many do not. It's very similar to Apple Fitness Plus or Peloton, though without the Nike-branded hardware.
According to Netflix, the episodes will be released in two batches. The first wave arrives next week, the second will appear around 2023. The first batch includes 46 classes divided into five curated sessions: Kickstart Fitness with the Basics, Two Weeks to a Stronger Core, Fall in Love with Vinyasa Yoga, HIT & Strength with Tara, and Good Fitness.

This is a clever idea from Netflix. The Netflix application is also integrated into several fitness machines, such as treadmills and bicycles. What this does is entice sportsmen to stick with the Netflix app for all their fitness needs.
A gym goer could theoretically tune in to Nike Training Club for a floor workout before transitioning into their favorite play while pedaling on a stationary bike. All this in one application.
But instead of having to spend more money to produce original fitness content, they can use Nike. Netflix uses a similar strategy with gaming. Despite starting its own game studio, the company has also licensed previously released games such as Asphalt Xtreme and Kentucky Route Zero.
