In the last seven days, the number has increased by 66 percent when compared to the same period in 2021.

On the other hand, Twitter Inc plans to launch a verified account service next week with different colored ticks for individuals, companies and governments.

This decision was made, after an initial failed launch that led to a spike in users impersonating celebrities and brands on the platform.

On Friday, November 25, Musk shared the colors for the category. For example gold for companies, gray for governments and blue ticks for individuals including celebrities.
