Learning Maths is More Fun, Duolingo Math App is Officially Launched Now

JAKARTA - After news of the development of a new project last August, the developer of the most popular English learning application, Duolingo has now officially launched its newest product, Duolingo Math.

In an announcement shared on its blog, when you download the app, Duolingo Math has two learning options for beginners namely a basic math class and a brain training class, to further strengthen math skills.

With a mission to increase people's opportunities to learn, Duolingo initially launched Duolingo ABC, a children's early literacy app for reading. Then, Duolingo Math was finally introduced on Duocon in 2021.

The company says that Duolingo Math is their way of offering a free way to learn math and build basic and important skills that everyone can use throughout life.

“As long as there are people in the world who want to continue learning, we still have a lot of work to do. We haven't won until we've taught everything there is to be taught," said Duolingo CEO Luis von Ahn.

Ahn added, "Making math accessible and fun is the natural next step in our quest to bring high-quality education to everyone on the planet."

Now, the Duolingo Math app is available in the user interface in English in the app store for users of iPhone, iPad, and some iPod touch devices.

The list of concepts you will find in the basic course is as follows:

  • Multiplication (multiplication table, commutative property, associative property, multifactor)
