5.0 M Earthquake Shakes West Southeast Maluku, No Tsunami Potential

MALUKU - An earthquake measuring 5.0 magnitude (M) rocked West Southeast Maluku, Maluku Province, Wednesday, October 5 morning.

The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) through its official website informed that the earthquake occurred at 05.11 WIB.

The location of the earthquake was at 7.80 south latitude-130.51 east longitude with a depth of 110 kilometers.

While the epicenter of the earthquake was 90 kilometers northwest of West Southeast Maluku.

BMKG stated that the earthquake that occurred in West Southeast Maluku did not have the potential for a tsunami.
