TNI Commander And Three Chiefs Of Staff Held Ziarah To Kalibata Cemetery

JAKARTA - TNI Commander General Andika Perkasa together with Kasad General TNI Dudung Abdurrahman, Kasal Admiral Yudo Margono, and Kasau Marshal TNI Fadjar Prasetyo made a ziarah to the grave of a national figure.

The ziarah, which was held to commemorate the 77th Anniversary of the TNI, took place at the Kalibata Heroes Cemetery (TMP), South Jakarta, Tuesday, October 4.

Kasad and Mrs. Rahma Dudung Abdurachman made a pilgrimage to the graves of national figures including the 3rd President of the Republic of Indonesia B.J Habibie, former First Lady Mrs. Ani Yudhoyono, former TNI Commander General (Ret.) Faisal Tanjung and TNI General (Ret.) Edi Sudrajat, former Chief of Army General (Ret.) Pramono Edi Wibowo and former Chairman of the Indonesian People's Consultative Assembly Taufik Kiemas.

Kasad's pilgrimage began with the tomb of the 3rd President of the Republic of Indonesia B.J Habibie, successively eating other national figures by offering prayers and sowing flowers on the graves of these national figures.

Dudung said it was a valuable thing that as the next generation of the nation, never forget the services of the heroes and predecessors of the nation who have struggled to sacrifice body and soul for the sake of upholding the sovereignty of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI).

The Indonesian nation to be great cannot be separated from the struggle of its predecessors to build this nation into a dignified nation. As the next generation, we should pray for our predecessors by visiting their graves and emulating the spirit of struggle and self-sacrifice, he said in a press release.

The pilgrimage to commemorate the 77th Anniversary of the TNI was carried out in the ranks of the TNI throughout Indonesia at the Heroes Cemetery in each region to honor and reward the struggle of the heroes in uniting the Indonesian nation.
