Kemenkominfo Launches Government Information Page indonesiakini.go.id
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Communication and Information Technology launched the aggregator page indonesiakini.go.id to integrate information from various ministries and institutions, even local governments into one website.
This step will make it easier for the public to get information from trusted sources related to various policies and programs that have been and will be rolled out by the government.
"We hope that with this website the public can find out the current situation, condition, Indonesia by just clicking on one website. The existence of this website makes public communication more integrative, more orchestrated in the eyes of the public," said Director General of Information and Public Communication (IKP) of the Ministry of Communications and Informatics Usman Kansong was reported by ANTARA, Monday, September 19.
Usman said that the presence of Indonesia today would certainly answer the challenges of public communication which must be fast, massive and integrated.
The dynamics of information and communication technology that triggers the disruption challenges the managers of public information and communication in government institutions to communicate to the public in an adaptive manner. However, it must be admitted that not all ministries or institutions as well as local governments have integrated their information in one container.
In the midst of the variety of public communication landscapes of government institutions, public communication activities, said Usman Kansong, need to be accommodated with the aim of making it easier for the public to obtain information.
In accordance with Presidential Instruction Number 9 of 2015 concerning the Management of Public Communications, the Ministry of Communication and Information has the mandate to coordinate the planning, preparation, and implementation of public communications related to government policies and programs.
With the Presidential Instruction, the Ministry of Communication and Information has the task of orchestrating information in a single narrative. So the presence of indonesiakini.go.id will certainly be the right place to unite the many government channels.
"Once again, this will certainly make it easier for the public to access information related to the government's efforts in development," said Usman.
