3 Things Should Be Optimized To Build Cybersecurity
JAKARTA - Head of the National Cyber and Crypto Agency (BSSN) Hinsa Siburian said it was necessary to optimize three main things in an effort to build cyber security and close the vulnerability of data leaks by hackers on government websites.
"It is necessary. Be honest about the digitalization issue," said Hinsa at the BSSN Office, Sawangan, Depok, West Java, as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, September 13.
Hinsa is responding to a national data leak case by a hacker claiming to be "Bjorka". Optimizing the three main things in an effort to build cyber security, he continued, needs to be done considering the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic has made people massively enter cyberspace.
First, he said, it is necessary to optimize human resources (HR) in building cyber security. Half of the cyber security system is supported by the role of qualified human resources.
He said reliable Indonesian human resources in dealing with cyber problems needed to be improved. This is very important because there is a new paradigm in society that now lives in the digital era or the era of cyberspace.
"Human resources for the manpower, experts in the digital field, are many; but for cyber security issues, there are also many," he added.

Second, he continued, it is necessary to optimize procedures, regulations, governance systems, and certain standards. Related to this, Hinsa hopes that the Draft Law (RUU) on Personal Data Protection (PDP) can be ratified soon, including the importance of formulating the Bill on Cyber Security and Resilience (KKS).
"Third, new technology," he said.
On Monday (13/9), President Joko Widodo called Hinsa to attend an internal meeting with the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs (Menkopolhukam) Mahfud MD and the Minister of Communication and Information (Menkominfo) Johnny G. Plate.
The internal meeting was held a few days after President Jokowi's correspondence was allegedly leaked in cyberspace.
