Robert Lewandowski Steals Barcelona Fans' Hearts, Serves Selfies With Little Supporters Who Are Desperate To Break Through To The Field
JAKARTA - Robert Lewandowski immediately stole the hearts of Barcelona fans in his debut in La Liga. In his first match, he has served the fans well.
Lewandowski has indeed become a new idol since joining the Catalan team in the transfer window this summer. All fans want to capture the moment with their new star.
This was proven by the reckless action of a boy who broke into the field after the Barcelona match against Rayo Vallecano, last August 14. The boy wanted to get a chance to take a selfie with the former Bayern Munich player.
In a video clip circulating on social media, the boy's action was tried by security officers because he was worried about the player's safety.
However, despite his personal frustration at not scoring his debut goal, Lewandowski still had time for the passionate little fan. He also convinced the officers and had time to take pictures with the boy.
Three officers in orange shirts were seen standing around Lewandowski as the boy snapped a selfie with the star. The boy then left the field, accompanied by an officer to the side of the field.
After missing a goal on his debut, Lewandowski came back and featured in the second match against Real Sociedad. He helped the team by scoring two goals in a massive 4-1 win over the hosts.
"The first goal I score for a new team is always for my father, who is watching from the sky," said Lewandowski, dedicating his goal to his late father after the game.
"It's amazing, I'm very happy and proud of the team because in the second half, we played very well and we scored four goals. Now, we are back in Barcelona and we will enjoy it for the next few minutes," he added.
Barcelona now has four points and sits in fifth place in the standings. They are two points adrift of their rivals Real Madrid who have collected maximum points from two matches.
