Teenager Who Breaks Into House And Steals Motorcycle In Medan Arrested By Police

MEDAN - A 17-year-old teenager in Medan City has to deal with the authorities. He was arrested by the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Medan Tuntungan Police because he was desperate to break into a house and run a motorbike from inside the house.

Medan Tuntungan Police Chief, Iptu Christin Simanjuntak said the theft was carried out by a suspect in Medan Tuntungan District, Thursday, July 7.

"The perpetrator fled 1 unit of a Honda Vario motorcycle with the police number BK 6630 AFT. As a result of the perpetrator's actions, the victim suffered a total loss of IDR 16.8 million," said Iptu Christin, Monday, August 8.

Finding his house burglarized and his motorbike stolen, the victim reported to the Medan Tuntungan Police. Having received the report, the police then conducted an investigation and hunted down the perpetrator.

From the results of the investigation, information was obtained that the perpetrators of the theft often carried out activities above 01.00 in the morning around the Simalingkar intersection to the Selayang intersection, Padang Bulan, Medan City.

"After conducting surveillance, the perpetrator was arrested on Jamin Ginting Street, Gang Bunga Rimpa, Friday, August 5, at 05.00 WIB.

During interrogation, the suspect admitted to stealing the victim's motorbike. When the police searched the perpetrator's pocket, they found a Y key and a wire that had been modified to open the lock.

"From his confession, the perpetrator has 3 times stolen motorbikes in the Medan Tuntungan Police Sector, the first in Simalingkar B near a Christian cemetery, then on Jalan Setia Budi Ujung, behind the Simpang Selayang Lurah Office. Then on Flamboyan Raya Street, Tax Melati," she said.

Currently, the suspect and the evidence have been secured at the Medan Tuntungan Police Headquarters for further investigation. For his actions, the perpetrator was charged with Article 363 of the Criminal Code.
