JAKARTA - Borussia Dortmund announced surprising news. The player they just bought from Ajax Amsterdam, Sebastien Haller, was forced to leave the pre-season training camp.
Haller had to go home early after finding a testicular tumor. Initially, the player complained of pain until further examination was carried out.
"Borussia Dortmund striker Sebastian Haller had to leave the BVB training camp in Bad Ragaz, Switzerland, early due to illness and has traveled back to Dortmund," the club said in a statement, as quoted by The Sun.
"The 28-year-old international from Ivory Coast complained of being unwell after training on Monday morning. During an intensive medical examination, a tumor was finally found in the testicle during the day," the statement continued.
Dortmund revealed, Haller will undergo further examination over the coming days. The examination will be carried out at a specialized medical center.

Dortmund sporting director Sebastian Kehl said the news came as a shock to both the player and the team. He and all elements of the club wish the 28-year-old a speedy recovery.
"We will do everything in our power to ensure that he receives the best possible care."
Borussia Dortmund then asked all parties to respect the privacy of the player and his family. The club also does not accept any questions asked.
"As soon as we have further information, we will inform you in consultation with the player," said the Dortmund club.
As is known, Sebastian Haller was imported from Ajax Amsterdam with a value of 28 million pounds (approximately IDR 501 billion). The former West Ham United striker arrived on a deal less than two weeks ago.
