COVID-19 Update As Of July 16: New Cases 4,329, Active Cases 26,594
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 84,796 specimens were examined with the results of 4,329 new positive cases of COVID-19.
"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 6,131,413 people and active cases have increased by 1,621 to 26,594 cases," said Ministry of Health data, Saturday, July 16.
Today's recovered cases increased by 2,872 cases, bringing the total to 5,942,436 people recovered. Then, there were 6 positive confirmed deaths and a total of 156,839 people.
The province with the highest new cases was DKI Jakarta with 2,131 cases and a total of 1,291,988 cases. Followed by West Java with 871 new cases with a total of 1,120,567 cases.
Banten has 643 new cases and a total of 302,418 cases. Then, East Java with 251 new cases and a total of 580,723 cases.
The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an additional 1,599 recovered cases.
Followed by Banten with an additional 359 recovered cases, West Java with an additional 312 recovered cases, and East Java with an additional 235 recovered cases.
In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens reached 102,007,984.
"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week is 9.09 percent," he wrote.
The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or currently categorized as suspected cases is 5,093 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.
To date, 201,907,334 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 169,514,244. people underwent a second dose of vaccination. While the third dose of vaccination was 52,747,194. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208,265,720 people.
