A Number Of Young Players Become Representatives Of Indonesia At Malaysia Open 2022, PBSI: This Is Their Chance, Hopefully They Can Make A Surprise
JAKARTA - Indonesia sent 17 representatives to the Malaysia Open 2022. Several young players were selected for the BWF Super 750 tournament.
For example, Chico Aura Dwi Wardoyo, Putri Kusuma Wardani, the couple Febriana Dwi Puji Kusuma/Amalia Cahaya Pratiwi and also Rehan Naufal Kusharjanto/Lisa Ayu Kusumawati.
There is a special message given by PBSI to these young players. PBSI's Head of Development and Achievement, Riony Mainay said, this is an opportunity for young players to face opponents whose level is above them.
"If you look at their practice and records, they have beaten players in the top 20. I don't think this is trying again, but hopefully it can make a surprise," said Rionny, as reported by Antara.
Rionny also left a message to Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto to be smart about maintaining conditions. The reason is, the gap between tournaments in Southeast Asia is fairly short.
Fajar Alfian agreed with this. He said he was ready to manage his stamina with Rian so he wouldn't be as tired as he felt during the BWF tournament in Indonesia.
"You have to be smart to keep the conditions and just go through it round by round," said Fajar.
He said the preparations had been going well even though it was carried out in a short time. They only have about one week since the end of the Indonesia Open 2022.
