Indonesia Masters 2022: Hendra/Ahsan Eliminate Danish Representatives To Get Second Round Tickets
JAKARTA — Indonesian men's doubles Hendra Setiawan/Mohammad Ahsan stepped into the second round of the 2022 Indonesia Masters. This aging pair defeated Danish representatives Jeppe Bay/Lasse Molhede.
The Daddies, nicknamed Hendra/Ahsan, won two straight games with a score of 21-12 and 21-19 at Istora Senayan, Jakarta, on Tuesday, 7 June 2022.
As the second seed, Hendra/Ahsan appeared very impressive. They immediately got three straight points in the first game.
The world number three pair continued to hold on to their lead and led by a five-point gap at the interval.
After the break The Daddies had conceded two points. However, they were able to rise and add six points in a row.
The widening difference in numbers makes it more difficult for opponents to catch up. Then a wide return from the Denmarķ pair gave Hendra/Ahsan the win.
