Indonesia COVID-19 Cases May 8: 227 Cases Added, 452 Recovered, DKI Jakarta Is The Most Contributor For Positive Cases
JAKARTA - National COVID-19 cases increased by 227 people as of Sunday, May 8. Thus, the total number of COVID-19 cases in the country since the announcement of the first case on March 2, 2020, is 6.048.431 people.

While the recovered cases today increased by 452 cases. So the total number of recovered cases to date is 5.885.858 people.
While 10 COVID-19 patients died today. So that the number of deaths due to positive corona has reached 156,381 people since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.

DKI Jakarta Province became the area that contributed the most cases of COVID-19 in the country, with 78 cases. West Java contributed 45 new cases nationwide, Banten 22 cases, and Central Java 19 cases.
However, DKI Jakarta is the area with the highest number of recovered cases today, with 166 cases. West Java recovered 82 cases, Banten recovered 78 cases, and Central Java recovered 29 cases.

"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week was 0.38 percent," he wrote.
The number of people suspected of being infected with COVID-19 or categorized as suspected cases is 2.120 people per day.
The Ministry of Health noted that to date 199.346.528 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination, and 165.641.991 people for the second dose. Meanwhile, 41.004.944 people have received the third or booster dose of vaccination.
