Jake Paul Looking For Opponents, Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. Already Contacted

JAKARTA - Jake Paul is looking for his next opponent in the boxing ring, and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. maybe the right person to take on the American YouTuber.

While not universally popular, Paul has an impeccable record in the ring and provided plenty of entertainment in 2021, especially in his fight against Tyron Woodley.

"Jake had a pretty busy year last year with three big shows," Showtime executive Stephen Espinoza told FightHubTV quoted by Marca, Wednesday, March 16.

"We are discussing with him whether there is a fight later this summer or after that. He really wants to get back in the ring."

Paul's return to the ring is likely to be face-to-face with Chavez, and contact has been made. Chavez said in December that Paul's team had contacted him, and he was intrigued by the idea.

"We have to organize this meeting well - obviously he made a bold request straight away," Chavez said.

"But he's a bit crazy, I think everyone in the boxing industry knows that he's a bit crazy. So we'll see, I want to fight, but some people say he probably won't show up."

Furthermore, Chavez said that he wanted all prize money for the fight to go to the winner on the night of the fight.

"I want the winner to take all my time against Jake Paul; the winner to take all the money, we risk our lives in the ring and I want the promoter to take the lower percentage," Chavez said on Instagram.

"It's going to be good business for everyone."
