COVID-19 Update As Of March 3: New Cases 37,259, Cases Recovered 42,154

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 387.296 specimens were examined with the results of 37,259 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 5,667,355 and active cases have fallen by 5,127 to 531,696 cases," said Ministry of Health data, Thursday, March 3.

Today's recovered cases increased by 42,154 cases, bringing the total to 4,986,391 recovered people. Then, there were 232 confirmed positive cases and a total of 149,268 people.

The province with the highest new cases was in West Java with 7,645 cases and a total of 1,024,527 cases. Followed by DKI Jakarta with 4,669 new cases and a total of 1,187,338 cases. East Java with 4,135 new cases and a total of 545,219 cases. Then, Central Java with 3,244 new cases and a total of 586,006 cases, and DI Yogyakarta with 2,541 new cases and a total of 198,451.

The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to West Java with an additional 10,623 recovered cases. Followed by DKI Jakarta with an additional 7,645 recovered cases, East Java with an additional 5,455 recovered cases, and Banten with an additional 2,966 recovered cases.

Furthermore, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens reached 86,008,226.

"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week is 17.75 percent," it wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or currently categorized as suspected cases is 23,198 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.

So far, 191,110,409 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 146,204,141 people have received the second dose of vaccination.

While the third dose of vaccination was 11,324,273. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208,265,720 people.
