Steal 1 Ton Iron Tower, 2 Men In Medan Arrested
MEDAN - The Criminal Investigation Unit Team of the Medan Area Police arrested 2 men who did iron theft named Abdul Aziz Nasution (38) and Totok Harianto (48).
Both were arrested on the report of the victim named Rusdi (63) who was surprised because his tower angle iron was always missing.
The Medan Area Police Chief, Commissioner Sawangin, explained that the theft was discovered on Thursday, February 3. At that time, the victim who was at his house was looking for an elbow iron in the warehouse to work as a tower installer.
"When they arrived at the warehouse, the victim who was looking for the tower angle iron was gone. The victim was confused as to why every day there was missing iron in the warehouse", said Commissioner Sawangin, Thursday, February 24.
Feeling curious, the victim immediately checked through the surveillance camera belonging to the mosque next to his house.
"Then seen on CCTV footage, 2 men carrying iron from the direction of the victim's house passing in front of the mosque", he said.
After that, the victim returned to check the contents of the warehouse. From there, the victim learned that many items had been lost from the warehouse.
"Including 1 iron tower plate weighing 1 ton, 4 sets per Hardtop car shock and several other car materials", he said.

Not accepting that the warehouse was looted, the victim then reported it to the Medan Area Police. Upon receiving the report, the police immediately conducted an investigation and pocketed the identity of the perpetrator.
"The perpetrator was arrested Friday, February 18, noon, on Amalun Street, Komat IV Village, Medan Area Subdistrict, Medan City. Both were immediately taken to the office for an investigation process", he said.
To account for their actions, the two perpetrators will be charged with Article 363 paragraph (2) of the Criminal Code.
"With the threat of imprisonment for a maximum of 9 years", he concluded.
