The PSM Assistant Coach Said After His Team Drew Against Bali United: Players Have High Motivation To Win

JAKARTA - PSM Makassar successfully thwarted Bali United's victory in week 23 of Liga 1 2021/2022 Monday, February 7. The Tridatu Soldiers had a 2-1 lead before being equalized by the Juku Spell Team 2-2.

Syamsudin Batola acknowledged that PSM's success in thwarting Bali United's three-point achievement was recognized by Syamsudin Batola because the team always had a high motivation to win, especially when they met Bali. The PSM assistant coach said the opposing team's strong character made PSM try to appear more insistent.

"PSM when they meet Bali United, the players' motivation is very high to win the game. Bali United is a good team, the players have class compared to our team," he said after the game.

In the match which took place at the I Gusti Ngurah Rai Stadium, Denpasar, Bali United took the lead through Stefano Lilipaly's kick in the 17th minute.

However, PSM managed to equalize in the 38th minute through Delfin Rumbino. Not giving up, Ilija Spasojevic again brought Bali United 2-1 ahead in the final minutes of the first half.

When the match was predicted to end for Bali United's victory, Yakob Sayuri came as PSM's savior. His goal in the 90th minute forced Serdadu Tridatu to share points because the match ended in a 2-2 draw.

With this draw, Bali United is stuck in third place in the standings with 45 points. Meanwhile, PSM Makassar, rose one place to 10th position with a score of 28 points.
