Google Cloud Launches Security Operations Region Data In Indonesia

JAKARTA - Google Cloud officially launched Google Cloud Security Operations Region Data in Indonesia, which will be hosted at the Google Cloud data center in Jakarta.

This platform will allow more organizations in Indonesia, including government agencies, to be able to take advantage of AI-backed and intelligence-based Google Security Operations platforms while still complying with local requirements related to their data residence.

"So now it's not just from people and the transformation process, we are also moving to fight cyber security, so that we can do more cyber resilience," said Country Director, Indonesia, Google Cloud, Fanly Tanto in a press conference held Thursday, July 17 in Jakarta.

Google Security Operations is claimed to be able to increase the productivity of security teams exponentially while empowering them to detect and mitigate emerging threats.

With this platform, the organization can absorb complete security telemetry data with data recognition controls from all its IT environments (on-premise, Google Cloud, or multicloud), to be processed by Google Threat Intelligence for forensic analysis and uncover interference indicators.

The organization can also take advantage of various AI tools, supported by Gemini models tailored for security, to support integrated Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) and Security Orchestra, Automation, and Response (SOAR) features.

Google Security Operations is equipped with Alert triage agents that are always active, to provide an assessment in each alert, such as its severity, as well as recommendations for the next step.

Once a priority and context-given incident is displayed, Google Security Operations investigative assistants reduce the toil (manual, tactical, and repeatary tasks that can be automated) required in more in-depth investigations and improvements.

This is part of Google Cloud's big vision of SOC agency, where connected multi-agent systems work hand in hand with security professionals to independently handle routine tasks, concluded Fanly.
