How To Register And Schedule A Virtual Ceremony Of The 76th Anniversary Of The Republic Of Indonesia At The Merdeka Palace

JAKARTA - The commemoration of the 76th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia (RI) will soon be held, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the government has decided to hold it online again.

Last year, the August 17 ceremony was also held virtually, but this year participants will be limited to 35,690 people and will be divided into two groups only.

First, the group will be divided into the Commemoration Ceremony of the Seconds of the Proclamation of Indonesian Independence which can be attended by 17,845 participants, and the Lowering Ceremony of Sang Saka Merah Putih with the same number of 17,845 participants.

Those who wish to participate in the virtual ceremony can register through the Pandang Palace page. With the condition, participants must be at least 6 years old, physically and mentally healthy, allowed to wear traditional clothes.

Then they must apply health protocols in their respective places, not be in crowds, wear masks and maintain distance when holding video conferences together. Finally, make sure the camera and microphone devices are working properly. Here's the registration process:

How to Register for the Virtual Ceremony of the 76th Indonesian Independence Day

1. Go to https://pandang.istanapresiden.go.id/

2. Select the video conference list

3. Fill in the registration form points according to your identity such as full name, NIK, country, WhatsApp number, active email, and others.

4. After filling in personal data, participants will then be asked to upload an identity card and a selfie holding their identity.

5. Select the series of events you want to attend, such as the Commemoration of the Seconds of the Proclamation Ceremony or the Lowering of the Flag Ceremony. Then click Save.

6. It should be noted, registered data such as WhatsApp numbers and emails must be active. Because later, participants will receive an email confirmation of registration and further information about the series of events.
