Efficiency Impact, Apple Employee Layoffs In Sales Division

JAKARTA Apple confirmed that they cut the number of employees recently. This layoff (PHK) has an impact on a number of workers in the sales division.

Launching from Bloomberg, Apple stated that this cut is part of the company's efficiency efforts. Although layoffs often occur in big technology companies, Apple rarely cuts its employees.

"To reach more customers, we made several changes in our sales team that affected a small number of positions," an Apple spokesperson at Cupertino said, quoted on Tuesday, November 25.

Apple revealed that they are still opening vacancies for other positions. They also give dismissed employees the opportunity to apply for a new position available at the company.

When Apple stated that layoffs were part of efficiency, employees gave different views. Some employees believe that Apple is converting most of its sales strategies to third-party retailers.

Apple has not yet responded to this allegation. It should be noted that layoffs are not new to Apple even though the company rarely does. The iPhone developer cut hundreds of positions last year.

The cuts are known to have an impact on various divisions. Apple laid off for canceling its car project. The company also stopped a number of employees in Apple's Service division.
