Aisyah Aqilah Sings Hipdut through the Series "Garam Muda"

JAKARTA - Actress Aisyah Aqilah showed her singing ability through her latest series, Garam Muda. Through the series produced by Verona Pictures and VIU, she also played a character different from before named Anet.

"If episode 1 is just a pilot, just an introduction, but Anet herself is the type who rocos and doesn't like the fuss, the popularity, but Kaizen (the character played by Junior Roberts) loves people to see him while Anet is different," said Aisyah Aqilah in Central Jakarta on Friday, August 7.

According to him, this series not only focuses on the story of young people but also focuses on music and children's social life.

"Although usually my series is light, this is the first time it's really colorful. Honestly, I listen to hipdut because it's really different and really exciting, and I'm challenged to sing hipdut. After I tried it, it's okay, just go in, but I'm just a beginner," he said.

When challenged to sing, Aisyah Aqilah hopes that the audience can look forward to her acting differently for this series. Junior Roberts, who plays the main role, even praised Aisyah's appearance and voice in performing her own song.

"There's singing... I'll sing it myself later but later, when it's aired, you'll just hear it. Dance too. And if Annette is a type of nyerocos, her child is funny, and she's the type who doesn't like popularity and doesn't like bullying either. That's why Annette and Kaizen are love hate relationships," explained Aisyah.

"The song is so catchy! The first time I heard it, I was like, 'Is this Aisyah? Buset, this new Hipdut is crazy, the best!' added Junior Roberts.

The Garam Muda series tells the story of Annette (Aisyah Aqilah), a new student at High Star School who is bullied. On the other hand, Kaizen (Junior Roberts), the most popular student at the school, tries to hide his dark past.

The first episode of the Garam Muda series airs starting Friday, August 7 on VIU.
