JAKARTA Disney and Universal are suing Midjourney, a generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) art generator platform. Through the lawsuit, Midjourney is accused of stealing content belonging to the two companies.

Reporting from The Wall Street Journal, the lawsuit was filed on Wednesday, June 11, 2025 to the US District Court for the California Central District. In the lawsuit submitted, the two companies included dozens of examples of images produced by Midjourney.
