Vivo X200 Ultra: Flagship Monster With 200MP Camera And Snapdragon 8 Elite, Ready To Crash Market!

JAKARTA - Vivo is preparing to launch its newest flagship, the X200 Ultra, which is expected to be present in China from mid to late April 2025. Leaks and rumors have emerged a lot, including a possible collaboration with Fujifilm, a new AI imaging chip, as well as the presence of Action Button.

If the leak is accurate, the X200 Ultra will retain its predecessor's distinctive design with a large circular camera module on the back that houses three sensors and an LED flash in the upper right corner of the module.

The initial render showed the device had a curved edge, very thin bezel, and a punch-hole in the middle for a selfie camera. In addition, rumors indicate that Vivo will embed Button's Action on the bottom right side of the device, which likely serves for quick access to photography and videography features.

On the screen, the X200 Ultra is expected to use a 6.8-inch 8T OLED panel with a 2K resolution and a 120Hz LTPO refresh rate. This is an improvement over the 1.5K screen used in the standard X200 and X200 Pro models.

Performance

Unlike the X200 and X200 Pro, which are expected to use the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chipset, the X200 Ultra is rumored to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite from Qualcomm.

This strategy is in line with what Vivo did in the previous series, where the Ultra variant used Snapdragon, while the standard and Pro models used MediaTek.

X200 Ultra is rumored to be equipped with LPDDR5X RAM up to 24GB and UFS 4.0 to 2TB storage, making it one of the flagship phones with the largest capacity on the market.

For power, this phone is likely to have a 6,000mAh battery with support for 100W (wired) and 50W (wireless)' charging from X100 Ultra which only has a 5.500mAh battery with 80W Wired and 30W wireless charging.

Vivo is known for its advanced camera technology, and the X200 Ultra looks set to maintain this reputation. This phone is rumored to be carrying:

- 50MP main sensor Sony LYT-818- 200MP lens telephoto with focal length 85mm- 50MP lens tele-macro- 50MP front camera

In terms of video recording, X200 Ultra is expected to support 4K 120fps on all cameras, with a smoother inter-lensing transition. This phone will also feature Vivo's newest generation AI imaging chips as well as new features such as Live Photo mode and 5-axis stabilization.

Interestingly, there are rumors that Vivo may be working with Fujifilm to improve image processing and color quality. However, due to only one source mentioning this, this information still needs to be confirmed further.

Other Features

In addition to the camera, the X200 Ultra is predicted to carry various premium features such as: IP68/IP69 Certification for water and dust resistance for ultrasonic fingerprint sensors

Vivo X200 Ultra is expected to launch in March or April 2025, replacing the X100 Ultra. However, like its predecessor, this phone will likely not be released on all global markets, so its availability in other countries is still uncertain.
