Google Photos Presents New Features 'Undo Device Backup' To Remove Device Reserves

JAKARTA - Google Photos is starting to roll out a new feature that allows users to cancel device backups without deleting photos and videos from the device. This feature is designed for users who don't want all photos on their devices to be backed up to Google Photos.

When the user cancels the device backup, deleted photos and videos will also be removed from the album, joint album, search results, and memory in Google Photos. This feature also includes files stored in Locked Folder.

This feature is already available to iOS users and will be coming soon on Android devices. To access it, users can follow the following steps:

After the process is complete, the backup feature will be automatically disabled on the device.

Google also confirmed changes to the Partner Sharing feature, where photos from third-party apps on Android are no longer automatically shared to your partner's account. Users are advised to manually share images and videos to keep the feed look neat and focused.
