JAKARTA Gemini can now help users remember their interests and preferences. This new capability can now be accessed by Gemini Advanced users, a more sophisticated paid version.

In Gemini's release note, Google explains that this Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based chatbot can adjust its response to the needs of its users. This can be done because of the ability to remember that is added to the chatbot.

There are many things that Gemini can understand, such as work, hobbies, and the general aspirations of users in everyday life. All information related to interests and preferences can be shared through regular chats or on information management pages.

"Think of it as giving Gemini a user's guidebook, designed by you. You can share information and manage information stored with Gemini either through a natural conversation or on a special 'Saved Info' page," Google said.

Google says that the ability to remember this can be controlled directly by its users. They can view, edit, and delete all information that has been shared with Gemini. That way, users can interact freely.

"Determine how you want Gemini to interact with you, and Gemini will adapt accordingly, giving you full authority over the information it stores and uses," explains Google.

This chatbot can provide consistent and predictable answers without the need to provide the same information repeatedly. This ability will be integrated directly into the workflow of chatbots and their experiences are only available in English.
