JAKARTA Pixel 5a, the device Google launched in August 2021, only gets an Android update and a security patch for three years. Supposedly, this device should not have received an update.

However, based on Droid Life's findings, Google will launch the last security patch for the device. The firmware update with the making number AP2A.0805.005.S4 seems to be based on the August security patch.

Google hasn't launched a changelog for this firmware version yet, but the Pixel 5a is sure to get a last update before the year ends. The reason is, Google has listed the November OTA with an image of the Pixel 5a factory on its website.

According to Reddit users, citing from Android Police, this firmware update will fix some of the security concerns users often complain about. Here are some improvements that users will get.

These are just a few improvements that are likely to be added to the November security patch for the Pixel 5a. Once this firmware is released, the Pixel 5a will not receive any more updates as this device has stopped supporting since three months ago.
