JAKARTA Meta Lab, an experimental retail space for Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses, was made specifically for Meta Connect 2024 some time ago. To bring an open space for the general public, Meta is back to building its retail pop-up store to showcase Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses. This temporary physical store will open in Los Angeles on November 8.
By setting up a retail store for Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses, the company led by Mark Zuckerberg wants to provide a traditional shopping experience. Visitors can see and try their glasses directly.
Not only that, visitors are also given the opportunity to take videos and photos with the glasses they use and the results can be downloaded. According to Creative Director Matt Jacobson, the approach by hand-on is an interesting sales method.
"When you let someone try the Ray-Ban Meta glasses, you become the best seller ever. Put these glasses on people's faces so they can try them and find the Meta AI, it's really magical," Matt said.

To maximize the presence of its experimental retail space, Meta designed the Meta Lab with a repulsive display. The building is covered in bright blue, while the inside looks quite classical, such as a device retail store in general.
At first glance, the walls of the building only look a little curved. However, when viewed remotely, this wall forms a slightly cut Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses because of the door.
"I want the arch (at the door) to be the base of the nose and I think it's very important to give privacy light there. The other two (curvatures) are not as important as the base arch of the nose," Matt joked.
