Apple Intelligence Will Be Released In The European Union In April 2025

JAKARTA After announcing the latest iMac on Monday, October 28, Apple officially released iOS 18.1 and macOS Sequioa 15.1 in a stable version to a number of countries. This OS includes Apple Intelligence.

Unfortunately, this Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based innovation was not released in the European Union because of its very strict laws. The iPhone developer said that Apple Intelligence will be available to iPhone and iPad users in the European Union early next year.

On its official website for European territory, Apple explains that macOS Sequioa will be released first in the European Union. Mac users in the region can access Apple Intelligence available in English.

In April next year, Apple will begin presenting the Apple Intelligence feature to all compatible devices in the European Union. That way, some users can access various advanced features.

"The Apple Intelligence feature will begin rolling out to iPhone and iPad users on the EU (in April 2025). It will include many core features of Apple Intelligence, including the Authorizing Tool, Genmoji, Siri which is redesigned with a richer understanding of languages, integration of ChatGPT, and more," Apple said.

The slow launch of Apple Intelligence for users in the European Union has actually been revealed since Apple held the WWDC 2024 event. They said that the launch of its AI feature would be slower for users in Europe.

This is due to Apple's concern about the Digital Markets Act (DMA). The company is concerned about committing a violation. However, with confidence that Apple will release its features in April, the European Commission may have given permission.
