JAKARTA Since its launch in December last year, Gemini's big language model (LLM) has made many improvements. Now, Google is rumored to be releasing Gemini 2.0 before the year changed.

Based on a 9to5google report, the company will release Gemini 2.0 widely in December. Although this new model is the next generation of LLM, Gemini 2.0's performance will not have much improvement.

Compared to releasing LLM with a much better increase, the Google team led by Demis Hassabis only prioritized trends among major and leading model developers. They're just chasing the latest version of Gemini.

It is not yet known exactly how Gemini 2.0 performs because its functionality has not been revealed. It is also not known which devices and features will get an upgrade from this latest generation of LLM.

When Google released Gemini for the first time, the company immediately added its artificial intelligence (AI) model with version 1.0 Pro into Bard. The chatbot has changed its name to Gemini.

Meanwhile, Nano's version is added to the Pixel 8 Pro device and the highest level, namely Ultra, is added to Gemini Advanced. Most likely, Google will also add several versions of Gemini 2.0 to different devices and apps.
