JAKARTA - During his term of office, Minister of Communication and Information Budi Arie Setiadi succeeded in suppressing online gambling transactions by more than 50 percent, through two policies, namely Ministerial Decree Number 521 of 2024 and Ministerial Instruction Number 1 of 2024.

According to data from the Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK), the decline in online gambling transactions is estimated at IDR 174 trillion from the initial projection of IDR 400 trillion.
