NASA And Minecraft Present The James Webb Telescope Interactive Game

JAKARTA NASA is trying to bring science, technology and scientific experiences through new initiatives. The US space agency decided to collaborate with Minecraft, a game that Microsoft now has.

Through this collaboration, Minecraft presents a new world that contains information about NASA's James Webb Space Telescope. Players can study star formation, interact with galaxies, or learn with the character of space scientists.

In addition, there is a challenge to create a new solar system with planets orbiting within it, the original design of Webb, various innovative discoveries from Webb, and much more. All of these interactive modules are designed using the original image of Webb.

According to NASA, this partnership can inspire and motivate the younger generation to become the next scientists, engineers, and technicians. For students interested in science and technology, they can use this game as an interesting learning tool.

NASA's deputy administrator, Pam Melroy, welcomed this collaboration. Melroy said that the latest Minecraft world that teaches the Webb Telescope can give birth to the newest universe explorers, including astronauts who want to explore the Moon or Mars.

"This collaboration is another way for anyone to join NASA as we explore the secrets of the universe and solve the most complicated problems in the world, making space exploration attractive to students of all ages," Melroy said.

Meanwhile, Webb Project Manager Mike Davis said that the new Minecraft world will provide an ambitious space mission. Davis hopes that students will not only be entertained during this game, but also inspired.

"As people explore the Webb Minecraft world, we hope they will be inspired to take that interest further and maybe one day help NASA build future space telescopes," Davis said.
