Chairman of the Kuansing DPRD, the Envelope Money Collector, King Juli, is Investigated by the KPK Today

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) summoned five witnesses for alleged bribes and gratification that ensnared the non-active Regent of Kuantan Singingi (Kuansing) Suhardiman Amby today, August 14. One of them is Juprizal as the Chairman of the Kuansing DPRD.

"The inspection was carried out at the KPK's Merah Putih building," KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo told reporters in a written statement, Friday, August 14.

Juprizal was said by Budi to be undergoing an examination. He arrived at around 09.50 WIB.

The investigators have seized 12,000 Singapore dollars from Juprizal's hand on Wednesday, July 8. The suspicion is that the money is related to an envelope that the Kuansing Regency Government submitted to the Minister of Forestry, Raja Juli Antoni, for the management of the Limited Production Forest (HPT) permit.

The money is suspected to have been collected from the residual business results (SHU) of farmers who are members of the Village Unit Cooperative (KUD).

Apart from Juprizal, the witnesses who were also examined were Fahdiansyah as the Acting Secretary of the Kuansing Regency Government for the period 2024-2025; Petdri Utama as the Head of the Pekanbaru Branch of PT Clipan Finance Indonesia, Tbk; Novianti as a private party; and Rama Andre Nugroho as the Coordinator of the Sumatra Regional Working Group, the Directorate of Forest Area Strengthening, Kemenhut.

As previously reported, the KPK named three people as suspects in the alleged bribery of the filling of the Kuansing Regent's post after conducting a hand-in-hand operation (OTT) on Monday, June 29. They are Kuansing Regent Suhardiman Amby, Kuansing Regent Zulkarnain, and Ardiles as President Director of PT Mitra Ideal Consultant.

In the construction of the case, Suhardiman allegedly asked for one unit of Toyota Land Cruiser 300 GR-S worth around Rp2.05 billion to the participants of the selection for the position of the Regional Secretary.

The request was fulfilled by Zulkarnain who bought the vehicle through a credit scheme using Ardiles' identity for financing applications.

In addition, the KPK also found other alleged receipts made by Suhardiman related to the process of releasing Limited Production Forest (HPT) areas. Investigators are said to be tracing the amount of receipts, the mechanism of giving to the party suspected of receiving at the Ministry of Forestry.
