TikTok Introduces Flip Story Feature, Share Stories From Two Sides

JAKARTA TikTok, a vertical video platform under ByteDance, introduces a new feature called Flip Story. Different from Stories usually, this feature can show two stories in one upload.

TikTok, on its official website, explains that this feature has two sides of the story. Creators can add different events on each side. As the name implies, users can see different stories by fliping or reversing them.

"Flip Story opens new opportunities for connection and engagement between creators and their followers' communities. Whether it's a photo before and after or an exclusive announcement and footage, Flip Story can add a layer of surprises," said TikTok.

To upload Flip Story, users only need to click the Add button and switch it to the Story page. After that, click the Add button again in the user's profile photo. Once tapped, the user will see an option to add Flip Story.

Users can take content directly or upload images from the device. For now, Flip Story only supports the addition of images. It is not yet known whether TikTok will launch the ability to upload videos on Flip Story.

"The creator will be able to view a separate audience list for those showing the second side. All content shared on the Flip Stories will go through the same moderation process applied to Stories uploaded to TikTok," TikTok explained.

Meanwhile, from the user or audience side, the way to view Flip Stories is very easy. They only need to see the image on the first side, then press the Hold button to Turn over until the hidden second side appears on the screen.
