Xiaomi Redmi Note 14 Pro Plus Comes With Gorilla Glass Victus 2 And IP69 Certification

JAKARTA - Xiaomi confirms that the Redmi Note 14 Pro will be equipped with Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection and IP69 certification, providing equivalent protection or even exceeding some flagship phones.

Gorilla Glass Victus 2 was able to survive when it fell from a height of one meter to concrete and up to two meters to the asphalt, making it one of the best glass protections in the market today. This protection is even comparable to or exceeds flagship phones.

IP69's certification in the Redmi Note 14 Pro series adds to a more sophisticated layer of protection than IP68, which is commonly used by many premium phones. In addition to being able to stay indoors, IP69 allows devices to withstand hot water and high-pressure water sprays, making them more resilient in extreme conditions.

Xiaomi will launch the Redmi Note 14 series in China on September 26, 2024. Global variants of this series usually appear a few months after release in China, so global users may have to wait before they can get them.

However, it is possible that some features, such as IP69 certification, may differ in the global market. Even so, the previous series, the Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus, comes with the same features in the global market and China, so there is hope that this feature will be maintained.

With this launch, Xiaomi proves that middle-class phones are now capable of offering comparable protection and durability to flagship phones, perhaps even better in some aspects.
