Sad! Deputy Minister Of Communication And Information Nezar Calls The Lack Of Budget Threatening PDN Operations

Deputy Minister of Communication and Information, Nezar Patria, said that the government's budget shortage would pose a risk of not operating the National Data Center (PDN) I according to the target.

At the Commission I Working Meeting of the DPR with the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs on Monday, September 23, Nezar said that PDNS needed a budget of Rp542 billion in 2024. However, the budget prepared was only around Rp257 billion.

As for 2025, the budget needed for PDNS management is around Rp486 billion. And currently available is only 5.6 percent of the basic needs, which is around Rp27 billion.

"For the development of PDN I, the lack of budget will risk preventing PDN I from operating on target due to the lack of PHLN ceiling, and the unpaid contributions from the internet and electricity network, as well as the unpaid cost of managing the water, waste and waste environment in the region," said Nezar.

Not only that, on the other hand, Nezar also said that the lack of this budget would also disrupt the implementation of the electronic-based government system (SPBE) program and One Indonesian Data.

Nevertheless, Nezar revealed that the progress of the work for PDN I as of September 15, 2024 has reached 83 percent. Where, the physical development of PDN INI is targeted to be completed by October 20, 2024.

Meanwhile, testing and commissioning for PDN I is targeted to be carried out from November to December 2024, as well as its operational target in January 2025.

"The construction of the National Data Center I certainly involves BSSN, especially in the preparation of ICT designs and cybersecurity," concluded Nezar.
