JAKARTA Jobstreet by SEEK inaugurated the #NextMillionJobs campaign on Tuesday, September 17. Through this campaign, Jobstreet is targeting 1.5 million job opportunities in Jakarta and several other cities.

With the launch of this campaign, Jobstreet wants to empower job seekers throughout Indonesia as well as assist job providers in finding new workers. This campaign was also created to support the vision of Indonesia Gold 2045.

Jobstreet is trying to increase per capita income in Indonesia to be equal to developed countries. The hope is that Indonesia can get out of the Middle Income Trap (MIT) and create a productive workforce while increasing human resource competitiveness.

"Support for initiatives aimed at creating one million jobs will strengthen collaboration between government, industry, and education to prepare workers for global challenges," said Gita Wirjawan, the former Minister of Trade who was present at the launch event.

To reach 1.5 million jobs quickly, Jobstreet provides free job vacancies for areas outside Java. However, Sales Director of Jobstreet by SEEK Indonesia, Wisnu Darmawan, said that this facility was not limited.

"Currently, free of charge advertising facilities are available, free of charge and unlimited. You can install any job vacancies, as long as they are outside Java," said Wisnu. "The company can be outside or inside Java, but the vacancies must be for outside Java."

While supporting the Indonesian labor market, Jobstreet relies on Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology. SEK has invested in presenting AI to its platform to facilitate job searches or recruit labor.

"At Jobstreet by SEEK, AI is divided into two sides. There is a candidate side and side of the company. From the candidate side, AI can make it easier for candidates to find a suitable job with him. One of the important functions is Recommendation," said Wisnu to VOI.

Wisnu explained that this feature really helps applicants because all users received jobs thanks to Jobstreet, 75 percent of whom received recommendations from AI. This feature is able to read the profile, CV, and habits of applicants so that the job they are looking for can be appropriate.

The company was also helped by this feature because Human Resources (HR) from large companies could receive hundreds of applicants at one time. To facilitate HR's work, the Recommendation feature was also developed for the company.

"In terms of hierarchy, we have a recommendation whether a candidate can match with an advertised vacancy by the company, which we call Strong Match," said Wisnu. "To make it easier for them, there are recommendations for which one is stronger Match with qualifications. The majority will be sorted out by HR."
