Recording, Polarist Astronaut Dawn Successfully Performs Spacewalk

JAKARTA Polaris Dawn, a SpaceX-backed commercial space mission, has completed two tasks at a time. The tasks crew carried out on September 12 are spacewalks and spacesuit testing.

This task was carried out by Crew Commander Jared Isaacman at around 17.52 WIB. From the video SpaceX shared, Isaacman was seen getting out of the hold using a tool for a handheld called a lock.

SpaceX explained that Isaacman had to carry out three tests while atTENance. The crew commander had to use one hand to control body movements, move using horizontal and vertical bars, and evaluate leg retaining devices.

"Komandan Isaacman telah keluar dari Dragon dan sedang menjalani tes mobilitas perkan pertama dari tiga tes yang akan mengujikan kontrol tangan tubuh secara keseluruhan, geratan vertical dengan kalinya, dan pengangangan kaki," kata SpaceX saat spacewalk berlangsung.

Isaacman did his job for eight minutes before re-entering Dragon's cabin. Shortly after, Mission Specialist Sarah Gillis appeared to carry out the same test using her clothes. Gillis' test duration also lasted eight minutes.

While atTENDING, Isaacman and Gillis also tested SpaceX's Extravehicular Activity Clothing Mobility (EVA). After testing was carried out, no astronauts reported any problems related to the spacesuit they were wearing.

Tests were the culmination and EVA were the culmination of Polaris Dawn's mission so SpaceX revealed that Isaacman and the rest of the crew had completed their tasks. With the end of the test, Polaris Dawn managed to make a new history for the first commercial astronaut spacewalk.
