JAKARTA - Apple is expected to reveal its newest Mac lineup equipped with an M4 chip in October. This new line will include updates for iMac, MacBook Pro, and Mac mini. Although the launch event is expected to take place in October, it is likely that these products will only be available on the market in November.

One of the most anticipated changes is the increase in RAM capacity. According to a report from Mark Gurman at Bloomberg, Apple is likely to start shipping Macs with minimal 16GB of RAM, even for basic models such as MacBook Pro 14 inches, Mac mini, and iMac. This is a welcome change after eight years of Apple using 8GB RAM on their basic model, which may no longer be sufficient for increasingly strong device needs.

In addition, Mac mini will also experience major changes in its design. This new Mac mini model is expected to be smaller than its predecessor. However, in this redesign process, Apple will likely remove support for USB-A ports and replace them with more USB-C ports, in line with current technology trends.

These chips are likely to be based on a more efficient 3nm process than TSMC, which is also used on the A18 and M4 chips.
