JAKARTA Google Meet, a video conferencing service from Google, has a limited view on Chrome. When the user switches from the Google Meet tab, the screen display will disappear even though the meeting is still running. This problem can be solved with the Picture-in-Picture (PiP) feature that Google launched some time ago, but users must activate this feature first. In the near future, users no longer need to activate the feature manually. Google says that they will launch the PiP feature by default to improve user experience during meetings. Changes in the PiP feature also support users in doing multitasking work. "Now we make it easier. Picture-in-Picture mode will now be automatically active when you switch tabs during the meeting," Google said via its update page. "This simple but impactful update will help ensure your meeting remains visible."

Google says that Picture-in-Picture is only available on Google Meet for desktops so that its updates are also only rolled out on Meet for Chrome. Users don't need to update Chrome to get this update. "(the meeting screen) is accessible if you need to switch tabs to create records, view meeting-related documents, and more. It should be noted that Picture-in-Picture is only available with Google Chrome on your computer," explains Google. Automatic Picture-in-Picture features will be launched in a scheduled release domain on September 10 with a working period of 15 days. However, for fast release domains, this feature starts rolling out on Monday, August 26 with the same working period.
