Claude Becomes The Fastest App To Reach IDR 15 Billion In Revenue

JAKARTA Anthropic just launched a version of Claude's mobile app in mid-July. Although it has only been launched a few weeks, this application already has gross revenue of more than $1 million (Rp15 billion). This revenue comes from applications on iOS and Android. According to the Appfigrees report, the company that analyzes the app, nearly half of the revenue comes from the US. Although Claude has managed to reach an important milestone, this chatbot is still lagging behind ChatGPT. Based on the number of app downloads on iOS, OpenAI's ChatGPT still ranks first. This chatbot application also ranks 26th based on the amount of revenue in the US from download results on iOS. This position is very far from Claude. The Anthropic Artificial Platform is located on its 95th device in the application download category and is ranked 68th in the application revenue category. This ranking does not cause any loss because Claude has just launched.

Reporting from TechCrunch, the response to Claude's launch was very low in the first week. The app was only downloaded as much as 157 thousand in a week globally, far less than the ChatGPT that was successfully downloaded as much as 480 thousand in the first five days. However, in terms of revenue, Claude looks better than ChatGPT. The company was able to achieve its first million revenue in a short time, even very quickly when compared to other Artificial Intelligence (AI) mobile applications. Claude managed to outperform Microsoft's Copilot and Perplexity applications. Each of these apps reached 1 million revenues within 19 weeks and 22 weeks. Seeing this achievement, the Claude app may be the main competitor of future ChatGPT.
