Central PWI Anti-Hoax Task Force And DKI Jakarta Diskominfotik Collaborate To Face The 2024 Simultaneous Pilkada

JAKARTA - Ahead of the 2024 Simultaneous Pilkada, the Central PWI Anti-Hoax Task Force collaborated with the DKI Jakarta Province Communication, Information and Statistics Office (Diskominfotik) in an effort to strengthen anti-hoax literacy. This collaboration aims to increase public awareness of the dangers of false information that often arise during the election.

One of the main programs of this collaboration is the involvement of members of the Central PWI Anti Hoax Task Force in various anti-hoax literacy activities currently held by DKI Diskominfotik. Members of the task force play a role both as participants and resource persons in various literacy events held by Diskominfotik.

DKI Jakarta's discminfotik itself has run the JalahoACK program, abbreviating as "Jakarta Lawan Hoaks," which focuses on anti-hoax education through various agencies. This program involves campuses, NGOs, as well as community organizations such as Dharma Wanita, PKK, and other mass organizations. This literacy activity is carried out online and offline, involving participants and resource persons from various backgrounds.

This collaboration agreement was concluded in a dialogue held in the DKI Jakarta Provincial Diskominfotik meeting room, the City Hall of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government, on Tuesday, August 20, 2024. The meeting was attended by the leadership of the DKI Diskominfotik led by the Head of Public Information, Raides Aryanto.

Meanwhile, the Central PWI Anti Hoax Task Force was represented by the Head of the Task Force, Budi Nugraha, accompanied by Deputy Chairman Wilson Lumy, Secretary of Tundra Meilala, Coordinator of Research and Monitoring Algooth Putranto, and Treasurer Umi Syarifah. Several students from the Jaya Development University and Ibnu Chaldun University Jakarta were also present as members of the task force.
