Apple Account Card On Wallet App Now Available In Canada And Australia

JAKARTA - Apple introduced an Apple Account card in the United States in 2022 with iOS 15.5. Now, with iOS 17.6, the Wallet app card is extended to Canada and Australia, two years after its initial debut.

The Apple Account card in the Wallet app provides a quick look at your Apple Account balance, which can be used to pay for purchases on the App Store and on the Apple Store online. In addition, you can use this card with a tap to pay on the physical Apple Store. This card is very practical to own in your Wallet app.

As MacRumors reports, this card is now available in Canada and Australia, although you should run at least iOS 17.6. Prior to this expansion, this feature was only available in the US and Japan.

Prior to the introduction of the Apple Account Card, Apple offered iTunes Pass. Apple Account cards are much simpler than iTunes Pass because they allow users to make purchases using tap-to-pay on the Apple Store, eliminating the need for employees to scan QR codes.

Apple Account cards are also quite easy to set. Open the Wallet app, press the "+" button then under "Available Cards" you will see an option to add an Apple Account card. You may need to have a balance in your Apple Account before you can add this card for the first time.
